Chardon Chamber of Commerce and Geauga Fraternal Order of Eagles is sponsoring a reverse raffle at the Chardon FOE located at 317 Water St., Chardon. Tickets are $40 per person and includes two drink tickets, main board ticket and dinner voucher. Event includes side boards, wine boards and 50/50. Only 125 tickets will be sold; the event is open to the public.

The Chagrin Valley Herb Society will meet at the Bainbridge Library, 17222 Snyder Road.  After a social time and snacks, Jerry Moreno from the Dahlia Society will talk about dahlias.

Consider donating; contributions are needed to complete the new garden.

Peace Lutheran Church will host a rummage and bake sale in the lower level parking lot behind the church located at 12686 Bass Lake Road, Munson Township.

The Berkshire Tunebackers are a hosting Back the Tunes Summer Art, Craft and Vendor Show at the Burton Village circle.

The Experimental Aircraft Association, Chapter 5 will host its last fly-in of the summer at the Geauga County Airport, 15421 Old State Road in Middlefield.

An all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast will be served from 7-11 a.m.

Youth will enjoy a variety of hands-on activities including flight simulators, crafts and free Young Eagle airplane rides for ages 8-17 beginning at 8 a.m. Parental permission is required; register at youngeaglesday.org.

The event features aircraft displays and demonstrations. Bring lawn chairs. Fly-in or drive in.

Newbury United Community Church is hosting a fresh produce giveaway at 14961 Auburn Road. Cleveland FoodBank provides the service to low income Geauga County residents the third Saturday of each month through October. Please bring ID and bags.

Middlefield Historical Society will host an open house in conjunction with the state-wide event. Tour the 1818 Century Inn, Middlefield’s oldest known standing structure and learn its history and significance to the community.

Geauga County GOP is hosting its 2022 September social at Claridon Woodlands Park, 11383 Claridon Troy Road, Chardon. All Republicans are welcome to attend the kick-off event for its membership drive and campaign season to help candidates in November. All statewide candidates have been invited.

Admission is $40 per person and includes a full catered dinner. Cash bar for beer and wine will be provided. For $75, attendees get one dinner and a year’s membership. Sponsorships are also available at $180 which include two dinners.

The Geauga Soil and Water Conservation District, Geauga Public Health and Middlefield Library will host a free SepticSmart program at the Middlefield Library. Presenters Dave Resource professionals with Geauga Public Health will discuss how a home septic system works, how to maintain a home sewage treatment system and what to do when it appears to not be working properly.

The Chardon VFW Post 6519 Auxiliary will hold its annual rummage sale at the post located at 752 Water St. in Chardon. The sale includes housewares, small appliances, tools, camping and sport gear, pet supplies, gardening equipment, plus many new and nearly new contents from two estates.

Burton-Middlefield American Legion Post 459 is hosting a meet-and-greet for all veterans at the legion post located at 14052 Goodwin St. in Burton. Free hot dogs will be served.
